We Walked For Wellness

The sun shone for our walkers, and so did their smiles!

November 23, 2024

A dedicated team of fundraisers walked 24 kilometres from Port Hope to Cobourg and back to raise funds for the Youth Wellness Hub on Saturday!

The walk was sponsored by Port Hope Rotary and led by Rev Kev from United Church, Port Hope, together with our own Alexis Forde. The group kept their spirits up with conversations, treats and welcome breaks at homes and businesses along the way. Our grateful thanks to all our walkers and everyone who supported them!

Especially, thank you to Cobourg and Port Hope Police Departments, who provided a cruiser escort along the route, and to our stopping points along the way:

  • Ganaraska Animal Clinic

  • Long and McQuade

  • Paul and Sylvia Binkley

  • Victoria Hall and Councillor Miriam Mutton

  • Burnham’s Family Farm

  • Ganaraska Brewery

The team has already raised over $20,000 for Mental Health Supports at the Youth Wellness Hub and Rev Kev tells us he won’t stop until he hits $25,000! If you can help us to reach our target, contact Rev Kev or Alexis.
